Native American Pottery & Jewelry

Margot's Gallery™ is proud to offer a collection of handcrafted Indian pottery including beautifully fashioned fetish bowls, unique and charming storytellers, and a wide range of vases and jars fashioned by award winning Native American artists.

Although modern Indian pottery can take on many shapes and sizes, one aspect remains constant - the continuation of family traditions and techniques. Located in small pueblos throughout the Southwest, local artisans hand-craft their pottery the traditional way - from the earth, air, fire, and water. Each piece crafted reflects not only an intricate nature-based design but also the vision, heritage, and pride of its creator.

Whether it is the rich warmth of desert hues and swirling geometrics or detailed etchings depicting the beauty of nature, each piece tells a story of dedication to the earth, to life, and the art that results from such a union.

Margot's Gallery™ also presents a stunning collection of hand-crafted Native American sterling silver jewelry designed by Indian artisans of the Southwest.

Indians mined turquoise for some 300 years before the Spaniards settled in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Today there are over 35 larger mines across the Southwest, each producing unique colors and textures of turquoise. The natural variations in turquoise and a host of other stones such as lapis, sugelite, malachite and spiny oyster shell, provide today's Indian artists with a rich palette in which to create traditional jewelry with contemporary appeal.

From the striking stone centerpiece in Navajo designs, to beautiful cut-out silver work found in Hopi pieces and intricate bezel work found in Zuni jewelry, each piece in itself, is a wearable work of art and a reminder of the rich history of the Southwest and its native peoples.
